We include in our Legal Package the following:
– Preparation of all legal formalities
– All official payments
– The publication of the wedding must be completed at least 24 hours prior to the wedding day. This process involves the couple and includes transportation from the hotel to the required civil offices and back, accompanied by our representative. The couple is required to bring the original documents for this process.
– Transportation of the civil officer the day of the Wedding.
– Apostilled Wedding certificate 3 working days following the wedding (additional wedding certificate can be requested with a supplement of 25EUR per certificate).
–2x Witnesses for the Civil Ceremony
(Note: For French Citizens an additional 100€ is applicable for the assistance at the French Ambassy).
Documents Required to Proceed:
- Birth certificate in English or French, or a verified translation by a notary.
The date of issue of the birth certificate or translation must not be more than 3 months (in case it is older we will proceed with an affidavit at the court prior the publication of the wedding with a supplement of 20EUR).
- Passports (the ID page only).
- Relevant documents in respect of divorce, widow/widower or change of name.

- ALL original documents should be with the couple when they arrive to Mauritius.

Term of preparation of all documents takes from 1-3 months.
**For French Nationality Citizens In addition to above documents, a French national should produce a “Certificat de capacité de mariage”, that we will be applying at the French Ambassy. We will send you the complete form to fill and required additional documents.
If one of the parties was married previously , marriage registration can be made by not less than 300 days after a divorce or death of a spouse. Client must provide a medical report that the future bride is not pregnant from a former spouse.
In case the spouses want to have a specific marriage contract between themselves, it has to specify in advance all the points of the marriage contract and matrimonial regimes:
- Legal system of community of good
- Legal system of separation of good
Notarised marriage contract, has to be drawn up in accordance with the wishes of the future spouses. the original contract has to be provided.
Process of the publication
The spouses will be picked up from their Hotel the date of the publication, accompanied by our representative we will go to the Registrar of Civil Status in Port -Louis to start the process of publication.
The officer will proceed for the verification of all original documents to validate the file.
Our representative will then take the spouses to the designated district’s Civil Office, who will be proceeding for the publication and provide the exact time of the wedding and reconfirm the date.
Our Representative will then bring back the spouses to their hotel/residence.
During the Wedding Day
Two witnesses are required to be present at time of the marriage ceremony. (provided in our package).
The Civil Officer from the Civil Office will be present to celebrate your wedding.
After the Wedding
After the civil registration the newly bride and groom will receive one copy of the marriage certificate apostilled by the Prime Minister Office (included in our package – therefore recognised worldwide)
**at the exception of UAE which will need an additional stamp from the Mauritian Foreign Affair (Supplement of 25€ per certificate)
It takes about 2-4days to receive your certificate
In the event that the couple leaves Mauritius before, we will send the document by DHL (at a supplement of 40€)
